Tert-butyl alcohol, trimethyl, also known as methanol, 2-methyl-2-propanol, etc.. Tert-butyl alcohol is a colorless crystal, there exists a small amount of water it is a colorless volatile liquid, similar to the smell of camphor, a moisture absorption, flammability, and higher compared to other alcohol and narcotic toxicity. Tert-butyl alcohol can be dissolved in most organic solvents, such as alcohols, esters, ketones, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
